The 57th E2EVC took place  from the 1st – 3rd of November in Barcelona

The event kicked off with a drinks reception on the 31st of October, where people had a chance to catch up with old friends or maybe meet people for the first time.

Friday

The Friday started with founder Alex Cooper’s entertaining intro session, during which he shared details of the upcoming events in 2025, which are set to take place in Amsterdam and Lisbon. The session also included icebreakers, a unique E2EVC feature that allowed everyone to introduce themselves to new faces in just five minutes. This is one of the many ways E2EVC encourages a sense of community, giving you time to network, talk to your peers, and meet new people.

After Alex’s session, there were sponsor sessions where they shared their latest updates. The last session before the Afternoon of AI was Liquidware partner Nerdio, with their Field CTO Gavin Connolly delivering all the updates to Nerdio Manager, including some AI recommendations for Auto Scaling. I thought it was a cool feature because it recommends the optimal setting for Auto Scaling but does not implement anything.

Then, it was time for the afternoon of AI. This was kicked off by Adnan Hendricks talking about Microsoft AI, in particular, Copilot Studio and how you can use it to build your own AI chatbots; this was then followed by Ryan Mangan talking about Ether Assist, his EUC AI assistant; I thought that it was an interesting concept and a beneficial aid for IT Professionals and will keep an eye on its progress and I expect to see more offerings like this in the future. The day’s final session was Gerjon Kunst and I reviewing the year in AI and how much progress had been made. We also discussed what is to come and answered whether this is the year of AI. We concluded that it was not and that the arrival of AI agents in 2025 will be the Year of AI.

During the session, Jim Moyle’s blog was released detailing the launch partners for AVD App Attach, including Liquidware. I had several conversations following this news, and many people commented that this was huge news and a game-changer for Liquidware. You can read the blog in full here

Saturday

Saturday commenced with the Liquidware session featuring Andreas Van Wingerden and Berry Haveman in a session titled “FlexApp, Your Get Out Of Jail Free Card For The Modern Workspace.” They first talked about the Microsoft AVD App Attach announcement and how FlexApp would be integrated into AVD. Then Andreas spoke about how FlexApp can be implemented into your application strategy; he also showed an overview of the simplicity of the FlexApp architecture. Finally, they spoke of FlexApp’s perfect fit for the modern workspace and how we have several converters built into the solution, including the recently launched Omnissa App Volumes converter. The rest of the afternoon was spent preparing for a live podcast recording of the Impact of AI: Explored. Also, I took some time to visit  Park Güell to view some of Gaudi’s works, which are a sight to see. The park has excellent views of the Barcelona skyline, including the Sagrada Familia.

We concluded the day with the first live recording of the Impact of AI: Explored. Given the context of E2EVC, we decided to delve into how AI impacted EUC. We were joined by Adnan Hendricks and Ryan Mangan, who shared their insights on several topics, including the challenges Ryan faced in building an AI platform. What was clear is that AI’s influence will grow with EUC, which will be accelerated by the introduction of AI Agents in 2025.

The evening concluded with an enjoyable dinner with some friends, where the discussions continued. It was a great opportunity to chat in a more relaxed setting and explore the topics and ideas shared throughout the day further.

Sunday

As always, E2EVC was a great event, and I look forward to the events in 2025. However, Sunday was not without its challenges. Due to excessive rainfall, my flight was delayed by 3 hours. Thankfully, I had the company of Ronnie Hamilton and the team from XOAP, which made the wait more enjoyable. Despite the delay, I eventually made it home at 2 a.m., reflecting on the great experiences and insights from the event.

All in all, E2EVC was, as always, a fantastic event. The knowledge gained—from significant announcements to early glimpses of next-gen AI solutions—will help develop the community’s strategy for end-user computing in the coming years. With the 2025 events in Amsterdam and Lisbon on the horizon, I’m excited to see how these technologies evolve and how we’ll continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible in EUC.

Join me and the Liquidware team at a variety of exciting events, including E2EVC in 2025!

We can’t wait to connect with you and share our latest innovations.
