ProfileUnity and FlexApp v6.9.5 Now Generally Available with New FlexApp Sandbox Isolation

The way organizations think about application delivery and workspace management continues to evolve.

It is no longer just about getting applications to users. IT teams are also thinking about isolation, security, compliance, application control, simplified deployment, and how to support a growing mix of physical PCs, virtual desktops, cloud PCs, and DaaS environments.

That is why we are excited to announce the General Availability of ProfileUnity and FlexApp v6.9.5.

This release introduces FlexApp Sandbox Isolation, advances zero-trust security, strengthens application controls, and continues the modernization of ProfileUnity and FlexApp across today’s Windows workspace environments.

FlexApp Sandbox Isolation gives organizations a new option for applications that benefit from additional separation from the operating system and other applications. This can help with specialized use cases, including applications that need to run side-by-side with different versions, remaining App-V edge cases, and even emerging scenarios where local AI processes may benefit from running in a more isolated environment.

Just as important, FlexApp Sandbox Isolation does this while preserving what makes FlexApp practical for enterprise application delivery. Isolated applications can still access local resources such as printers, storage, and copy/paste, giving IT teams added control without forcing unnecessary compromise.

ProfileUnity v6.9.5 also expands Application Restrictions with simultaneous allow and deny rule coexistence. This gives administrators more precise policy control over which applications can run, while also logging application restriction events directly to the Windows Event Viewer for audit and compliance needs.

For organizations moving beyond Ivanti Workspace Control or Ivanti Environment Manager, these enhancements are especially relevant. ProfileUnity provides a modern approach to user environment management and application control while preserving the familiar value of policy-based management.

This release also includes several important security, architecture, and deployment enhancements. Client-side configuration data now has enhanced encryption protections across network shares and local disks. The console backend has been updated to Microsoft .NET Core 10.x to help maintain a modern, secure, and stable platform architecture. A new single-file installer also simplifies deployment and upgrades through Microsoft Intune and SCCM.

Taken together, these updates reflect where the market is heading. Organizations need application delivery, user environment management, security, and control to work consistently across all Windows workspaces.

Whether users are accessing physical PCs, Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365, Citrix, Omnissa Horizon, or Amazon WorkSpaces, the goal remains the same: deliver the right applications, provide a consistent user experience, reduce complexity, and strengthen security.

That is exactly what continues to drive innovation in ProfileUnity and FlexApp. Want to see FlexApp Sandbox Application in action? Check out this on-demand webinar.
