The World of EUC: Independence event made a powerful debut, setting a new benchmark for end-user computing (EUC) conferences. Spanning two days in Silver Spring, Maryland, with sessions at the AFI Silver Theatre and the DoubleTree hotel, the event was an ideal blend of thought leadership, networking, and community-building. As Liquidware, we were honored to be the first sponsor of both the event and the “World of EUC,” marking our dedication to fostering growth and collaboration in this vibrant community.

Sessions, Panels, and Real-World Engagement

The event kicked off with impactful sessions covering the industry’s most relevant topics. On Day 1, right after Brian Madden’s engaging keynote, I had the opportunity to co-present a session titled “Beyond DEX: Empowering Transformations in a Changing World” with my colleague Johnny Ma from Liquidware. Our session shared how to easily transform a Windows workspace to any platform with Liquidware solutions that Go Beyond DEX. The energy from the audience was palpable, highlighting how vital these topics are to the future of EUC.

Another standout session I participated in was “Ctrl+Z! The Universal Application Lifecycle for Modern Virtual and Physical Environments with App Portability,” led by Jeff Ulatoski from Omnissa. Tim Mangan and I assisted in fielding questions, discussing the demand for app “undo” capabilities in fast-paced deployment cycles. The audience’s engagement in this session underscored the importance of app lifecycle management and portability in today’s environments.

Later, I joined Tim and Jeff again for an Application Delivery panel, where FlexApp, App Volumes, and MSIX were central to the conversation. The focus on these solutions opened up meaningful discussions about managing application delivery in hybrid and cloud environments in the rapidly changing world of EUC.

Community Connections at Silver Branch Brewing Company

No conference is complete without time for networking, and Day 1 ended with a happy hour at Silver Branch Brewing Company, hosted by Liquidware, IGEL, and Nerdio. More than 70 EUC professionals gathered to connect and share insights in a relaxed setting. Events like these strengthen our industry by providing spaces for collaboration beyond formal sessions, building relationships that drive progress in EUC.

Keynotes and Recognizing the WEUC Team

The keynotes were a major draw, with speakers Brian Madden, Shawn Bass, and Gabe Knuth sharing insights on the future of EUC. Their presentations explored the impact of AI and the key role that Windows has in this digital transformation, leaving attendees inspired and equipped with fresh perspectives.

A special thank-you goes to the World of EUC team, who executed a flawless event, especially considering this was their first year. The dedication of the WEUC Board of Directors, Advisors, and Management Team made this event possible:

  • Jarian Gibson, Sean Massey, Patrick Coble, Stephen Wagner, Janna White, Dave Brett, Steve Greenberg, Sarah Vogt, James Kindon, Ryan Revord, Jennifer Gibbons, and George Abar.

Looking Forward

“Independence” has set a strong foundation for future events, fostering a vibrant and collaborative community ready to address the challenges of our evolving industry. At Liquidware, we look forward to supporting this event in the years to come and continuing our mission to drive innovation in EUC.

Here’s to the future of EUC—a future built on collaboration, expertise, and the passion to shape what’s next.
